Capcom Big Bang Bar Pinball Machine

Today, there are only a few rare pinball machines that are still available for sale. However, one can argue that no pinball machine exceeded the allure of the Capcom Big Bang Bar Pinball Machine when it comes to pinball machine collectibles. It was first presented back in the 90s at the Chicago Pinball Expo Show as a prototype. Despite the mystique, it only led to a very small number of manufactured units.

You could argue that the limited production number is what makes this pinball machine incredibly valuable. Besides rarity, this pinball machine also has excellent craftsmanship as it features top-of-the-line sound quality, gameplay, and animations. The designers of this machine undoubtedly deserve a ton of credit because the artwork is top-notch, making it stand out among the pack. Today, this rare pinball machine could easily sell for over $30,000.

Beanie Baby Worth Almost Half-A-Million Dollars

Back in the day, anyone could purchase a Beanie Baby for less than $10. Of course, this price tag was when these things made their debut, and they were undoubtedly a smash hit. Everyone from this era recalls swarming to stores across the country in the hopes of snagging a rare Beanie Baby. Interestingly, a rare Beanie Baby was one of the best investments any toy collector could make at the time.

The entire Beanie Baby craze eventually faded. However, there are still many gems hidden in the collection. One of them is Princess Diana, and it’s a rare Beanie Baby bear that comes in a purple finish. This rare Beanie Baby is certainly one of the most coveted toys today, as it’s worth an estimated $475K. Who would’ve thought that a Beanie Baby could be worth as much as an exotic sports car?

A Highly Coveted Pokemon Card

Everyone from the 90s can certainly agree that the entire Pokemon franchise became a big thing. Even today, kids simply can’t get enough of this iconic and nostalgic Japanese animated franchise. Interestingly, there was one Pokemon card that every fan of the franchise wanted and it was a holographic Charizard. When it comes to collecting Pokemon cards or collecting cards in general, this one easily takes credit as one of the most sought-after cards.

There’s certainly no way to tell back then that this card would become highly coveted today. With this in mind, you’d have to be exceptionally smart to hold on and take care of the original version of this card throughout several decades. If you have one in mint condition, then you’re looking at least $3,000. The resale value of this card could even go higher over the next few years.

Super Soakers

It’s undoubtedly interesting to learn that your old super soakers could fetch you a decent amount of money. However, they’re not going to sell at outlandish prices nor will they help you buy a new car from the profits of the sale, but they’re still worth closely examining. These toys used to cost between $10 to $50 brand new, but they could now fetch up to $500. The only catch is that they’d have to be in mint condition, which is quite a challenge.

It’s certainly difficult to find one in mint condition especially if you’ve played the heck out of them when you were young. However, there are super soakers that aren’t in mint condition that still manage to fetch around $150 each. If you’re looking for a way to make easy money, then you’ll certainly want to cash in on this “investment” from your childhood.

A Gaming Industry Icon

Everyone who played Galaga will feel nostalgic knowing that it’s arguably one of the best game titles ever. If you enjoyed the heck out of Galaga, then you certainly have a good idea what M.U.S.H.A is. In case you’re wondering, M.U.S.H.A is a famous shooter game that scrolls vertically as you try to wipe out all the enemies that come your way.

It’s certainly an interesting and enjoyable game, but there’s not much more to the game other than that. There’s no highly-compelling storyline included in this game as it just plainly allows you to shoot at other ships. Despite its simplicity, it’s an iconic game that’s highly enjoyable, and if you sell the game today, you might just end up getting $500. That’s certainly a massive return on your investment considering this game cartridge was sold for a cheap price back in the day.

Original Transformer Figures

It’s no secret that Transformers have been able to transcend several generations. These iconic robots in disguise have been one of the most celebrated franchises for several decades now, and they’ve received more love as time went on. One thing is definitely for sure, the reputation and mystique that this iconic franchise generated translated quite well to their original action figures.

The original Transformers aren’t the most complex transforming toys by any means, but they’re considered an icon. An original Optimus Prime action figure can cost up to $600. If you could keep Optimus Prime and his arch-nemesis Megatron together, you’d be looking at a return on investment of more than $1,000. You could say that keeping them was worth your time considering that these toys used to go for a relatively cheap price back in the day.

G.I. Joe

Joe series, and the movies that starred The Rock and Channing Tatum are no longer as good as the classic series. Everyone undoubtedly knows that the series is one of the most celebrated television shows of all time, but the toys and action figures are also just as timeless.

Today, a Starduster action figure could easily fetch you $300. It’s certainly a more-than-decent return on your investment considering these things were relatively cheap back in the day. Even a space shuttle complex that is incomplete could get you at least $600. There’s also decent money to be made from the iconic G.I. Joe Mobile Command Center. Even if it’s slightly used, it could easily sell for a whopping $3,000.

LEGOS Are Still Cool Today

Despite its sustained success, there are some vintage LEGO sets that are worth a lot of money. Vintage ones are definitely worth more than newer models, and one of the most coveted ones is the Monorail Transport System set. This set could easily fetch up to $1,000, or even up to $1,500. There are also other LEGO sets that are worth a ton of money which collectors treat as coveted investments. It’s worth noting that the LEGO set must be vintage and unopened. If so, then you’re looking at a hefty payday.

Magic Cards

The entire Magic: The Gathering franchise hasn’t been able to reach iconic status. Though this franchise isn’t the most mainstream trading card game, one cannot deny that it’s still incredibly impactful. The proof of its impact is certainly in the pudding, and the original cards are now worth a ton of money. If you’ve kept the first cards back from 1993, then you’re looking at a profit of over a thousand dollars.

One sealed starter deck was auctioned off, and it was able to reach an astounding price of $8,700. We certainly couldn’t imagine paying over eight grand for a deck of cards, let alone treat it as an investment. There’s also one card that’s worth a ton of money, and it’s worth more than $2,700. It’s priced at this staggering value because it’s considered the Holy Grail of Magic cards.

Blue Eyes White Dragon!

Yu-Gi-Oh began as an anime show that became popular in the 1990s. The plot revolves around Yugi, who discovers a mystical puzzle box containing the spirit of an ancient Egyptian. Yugi had awakened a gambling-obsessed alter-ego. Since then, whenever Yugi or his peers’ lives are threatened by antagonists, his alter-ego appears in card, dice, or board game duels with them. This type of plot might sound weird by today’s standards, but it was all the rage back then for some reason.

The story was so compelling that die-hard fans made investments in actual Yu-Gi-Oh cards. The card game requires you to think about and evaluate your hand of cards in order to outmaneuver your opponent. It should be noted that the most expensive deck has been valued at more than $1000.
