This film was released in 2012 and was an instant success. The film was led by six of the original members of the Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, and Hulk. As of March 2022, The Number reported that the film earned more than $1.515 billion worldwide, falling just a few million short of the ninth spot.
Furious 7 (2015)

The Fast and Furious franchise is well-known all over the world. All of the films did extremely well at the box office. The one that stood out, however, was Furious 7, which was released in 2015. Seven may be a lucky number, as this film grossed over $1.516 billion worldwide. The lead credits were filled by Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. Meanwhile, this was also the last film made by the latter before his death in 2013.
The Lion King (2019)

Despite being a remake of the 1994 film, this updated version outperforms the original. As many people already know, Daniel Glover provided the voice of Simba, while Beyonce played Nala. As it turned out, the film earned more than $1.65 billion worldwide, nearly putting it in seventh place, despite the narrow margin.
Jurassic World (2015)

This film’s investment was extremely profitable, especially given how well it performed at the global box office. Jurassic World grossed $1.67 billion, which is 7.8 times its production budget of $215 million, according to The Numbers. Chris Pratt was the only main cast member, with Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Ty Simpkins filling out the supporting roles.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

The biggest twist and highlight of the film, as everyone already knew, was when former Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey McGuire appeared in the film. Aside from the storyline, this is one of the reasons why the film grossed over $1.85 billion worldwide.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

All of the cast and crew deserve credit for this fantastic film. This film was released in some countries on April 25, 2018, and it became available in the United States a few days later. Most fans and non-fans knew it would be a big hit before it came out, and they were right. The MCU phase 3 film grossed nearly $2.05 billion worldwide, making it one of only five films to reach this milestone.
Star Wars Ep. VII: The Force Awakens (2015)

After nearly four decades, the investment in the Star Wars franchise has returned, stronger than ever. The most recent film, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, was released in 1983. Meanwhile, the seventh episode, titled The Force Awakens, reawakened fans’ love for the franchise. According to The Numbers, it earned $2.06 billion at the global box office.
Titanic (1997)

For many years, this film was, to its credit, regarded as the highest-grossing film of all time. James Cameron directed the film, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Furthermore, it was released in 1997 and grossed a mind-boggling $2.2 billion worldwide.
Avengers: End Game (2019)

This was, to some degree, the final film in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it wasn’t the least profitable. In fact, with a worldwide gross of nearly $2.8 billion, this is still the highest-grossing MCU film of all time. For a time, it held the record for the highest-earning film of all time, but it was eventually surpassed by the number one. Unfortunately for die-hard fans, this was also the final film in the series for the two most popular characters, Captain America and Iron Man, played by Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., respectively.
Avatar (2009)

The race for first and second place is tight, but Avatar did not let its guard down and is still, to some degree, the highest-grossing film in history, with nearly $2.85 billion in global earnings. Just like in the third spot, Titanic, James Cameron directed this film, which starred Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana.
